YSPU Admission 2026-27: The admissions for Yashwant Singh Parmar University will commence for session 2026-27. Students who want to apply for admission must do so before the deadline of 10th June 2026 for UG admissions and 20th June 2026 for PG admissions, however, admission into Doctoral programs have already been closed. The University offers B.Sc. (Hons.), M.Sc., and Ph.D. programs offered in various specializations of horticulture, forestry, and life science. Furthermore, the university offers MBA and PG diploma programs in Agribusiness and Medicinal & Aromatic Plants respectively. About YSPU: Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University was established on 1 December 1985 to promote education and research in the fields of Horticulture, Forestry, and allied disciplines. It started as Himachal Pradesh Agricultural College in 1962, which at that time, was affiliated with Punjab University. The University has four constituent colleges, out of which, two are located at the main campus Nauni, one for horticulture and the other for forestry, having 9 and 7 departments, respectively, the other two are situated in Neri and Mandi. Admission to the university is entrance-based. With its on-site farming and agricultural history, YS Parmar University has proven to be a landmark in the study of Agriculture and forestry.

YSPU Admission Procedure 2026-27:

Admission to both UG and PG programs is entrance-based. The application process is online, but the entrance exam is held offline, and admission is approved only after the final round of interviews. For UG programs, a 10+2 or equivalent degree from a recognized board with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as major subjects is mandatory, whereas for a PG program, a relevant bachelor’s degree is required.  Admission to all degree programs is made based on marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the University for admission to UG and Master’s programs. YSPU UG Admission 2026-27

The University will provide a total of 4 courses in its UG Programs, covering horticulture and forestry. Interested students must apply before for normal seats, and self-financed students can apply for admission.

Eligibility criteria for admission to the UG Program:

1. The student must have a 10+2 or equivalent degree from a recognized board.
2. The major subjects in the HSC of the applicant must be Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and English.
3. The student must be on the merit list for the entrance Exam list.
4. The student will have to clear a personal interview in the final round of the selection process.

YSPU PG Admission 2026-27

Over 20+ courses are offered here at YSPU in its program for PG students. Admission to the postgraduate programs is also entrance-based with the final round of interviews. Students who want to apply can do so before the deadline .

Eligibility criteria for admission to the PG program:

1. The student must have a relevant bachelor’s degree.
2. The student must be on the merit list for the entrance exam.
3. Admission to the program is only granted after the student clears the final round of interviews.

YSPU PhD Admission 2026-27

The score obtained in the entrance test by the University will be considered for admission in Normal/ self-financing seats of all Ph.D. programs of this University. The candidates having secured less than 50 marks in the entrance test shall not be considered for appearing in the counseling process. The University provides over 15+ courses to its Research Studies students, covering major portions of horticulture, forestry, and Microbiology.

Eligibility criteria for admission into PhD programs:

1. The student must have a master’s in the appropriate field of study.
2. The First Preference is given to the candidates who have passed out their postgraduation from the ICAR-AU system and ICAR-accredited universities/colleges.
3. The students must score enough marks in the entrance examination to be eligible for the final round of interviews.

YSPU Entrance Exam 2026-27:

YSPU  conducts its own entrance exam 2026 for any UG and PG courses. Students need to qualify the entrance exam for the Nauni University Entrance Exam 2026. To apply for  YSPU admission students are required to fill the admission form through the official website. YSPU will start thier admission process for UG an PG courses. The last date to apply for the YSPU admission is 30 April 2026. University will conduct the entrance exam for students having domicile of outside HP. Once the entrance exam is done, university will release the answer key on the official portal. YSPU merit list will be declared, to confirm admission, selected students are need to pay the fee.
