About University 

In 1994, a central university’s foundation was laid down. Till then Nagaland University has proved itself at every step and in every field. Nagaland University, shortly called NU, has gotten an accreditation from NAAC with B+ Grade. There are multiple campuses that are being operated under the aegis of Nagaland University. This university is also recognized for its research in the specialization of different fields. 

Nagaland University UG Admission 2026

Nagaland University admission process for the undergraduate will start soon for the academic session 2026A wide range of UG courses, such as BA, B.Tech, BBA, B.Sc are available in various faculties. Admission will basically be carried out on the basis of academic performance. You are also required to show a scorecard of CUET(UG) for a relevant and specific discipline before proceeding to the application process. To apply for the above-mentioned course in next session 2026, You are required to fulfill the criteria.

• Desired Candidates need to secure 60% in Plus two (12th Grade). This should be from a state or central board. Minimum marks can vary depending on the course selection.
• There will be a relaxation of 5% of those candidates who are from reserve category. 

Nagaland University PG Admission 2026

Nagaland University admission registration will start soon for the academic session 2026. There are a large number of PG course admission available at Nagaland University. These courses are basically of two years duration having 4 semesters in it. Admission to all these courses will require overcoming some parameters. 

• Interested students must have passed a bachelor’s degree; if you are an honours student 50% minimum marks will work. While for general students who don’t have any honours / major subject and are from Arts/Science or Commerce will need 55% minimum marks. 
• Relaxation of 5% for Reserve category students viz SC/ST/OBC/NCL. 
• Reservation rule be as per the Government of India guidelines or Nagaland University.
• Sports quota will be considered from the respective HOD., This will also be followed by Merit basis.

Nagaland University Ph.D Admission 2026

Nagaland University admission for the PhD course will start soon for the academic session 2026. Doctor of Philosophy is offered in several specializations by Nagaland University. Admission fee for Ph.D course is Rs.2500. While tuition fee is Rs. 3400 per semester. An eligibility criterion is already decided by UGC for admission in doctoral degree which is followed by Nagaland University. Candidates who want their admission in a Ph.D course need at least master’s degree or a professional degree qualification which should be equivalent to masters degree.

There is a minimum marks requirement, which is 55%. While for the reserve category, it moves from 55% to 50% because of relaxation of 5%. Those candidates will also be considered for this programme who have cleared their M.Phil work.

Eligibility Criteria For Nagaland University Admission

There are several courses offered by NU in various disciplines. These disciplines are here as Agricultural Science, Arts, Commerce, Science, Humanities, Management, Law and Engineering. All these disciplines are offered in many courses from UG to Doctoral level. But, to get admission to any of these courses, you will have to pass the eligibility test or parameters. For undergraduate course admission, you are compulsorily have to be with first class in Standard 12th which will need more than 60% marks. While for PG course admission, it is important to qualify a graduation degree. This degree should be held by a minimum aggregate mark of 50% for general stream students. While for subject-specific streams, you’ll need 55%.

Nagaland University Admission Process 2026

Before processing and filling your application form, you need to register first at the official Nagaland University. While registering, you will be creating a new account which involves username, email and password. At last you need to click on Create New Account. 

Here are many more steps you need to know. 

• Register:  Get started with registering yourself on the official Nagaland University Admission portal.
• Login : Use the same generated user ID and password. 
• Be prepared : Get all scanned photographs of necessary documents, as well as fee slips.  
• Fill Out Form: Fill all necessary details in space provided for it. 
• Documents : Upload all scanned documents as per requirements. 
• Entrance Exam: Some major and professional courses ask for an entrance exam, appear in that and get a scorecard.
