Mysore University UG Admission 2026-27

Mysore University admission for the undergraduate program will start soon for the academic session 2026. There are several undergraduate courses in specializations that are offered in the affiliated colleges of Mysore University. Only popular courses like Bachelors of Computer Applications, Bachelor’s of Business Administration and Bachelors of Commerce are available in main campus. There is not any specific age requirement until it is mentioned or stated in a specific course. To be eligible for UG courses of Mysore University, interested candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent from the Karnataka board or other recognized one.

Minimum aggregate marks is 45% to 55% which basically varies from programme to program. 5% benefit in minimum marks for those SC/ST candidates who belong to Category 1. Mysore Admission PG Admission 2026-27

Mysore University admission for the postgraduate program will start soon. Just fulfilling the eligibility criteria don’t ensure your admission. All PG courses will be available after central or University entrance test or by exams conducted by the department. 

• Qualification: Interested candidates must be with a graduation certificate. They must have secured 45% to 55% aggregate marks. These marks can vary as per course. 
• Deduction: 3% marks from aggregate will be deducted for every additional year, in case of taking more than prescribed duration. 
• Entrance Exams: For some PG programmes like MBA, MCA, M.Tech entrance will be carried out as per KEA rule. You need to qualify entrance tests for these programmes that will be conducted by Karnataka Entrances Authority.  PGCET means the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test will be conducted for mentioned courses. 
• Relaxation: For category 1 students or SC/ST candidates, a relief will be given in aggregate marks up to 5%. 

Eligibility Criteria For Mysore University Admission 2026

Admission to any offered courses like UG/ PG/ Diploma/ M.Phil/ Ph.D./ certificate, will not be considered as done. If the application has applied online before satisfying the eligibility criteria. Please note that all course admissions will be completely on the basis of merit and will be followed by entrance exams. Here are some of the eligibility criteria required for admission.
Master’s/Postgraduate:  You will have to bring a graduate degree from a well certified university. Must have a minimum 45% aggregate marks. For SC/ST candidates 5% is relaxation,That means they only need 40% marks. In case of taking a longer time to complete course a 3% of aggregate marks will be deducted. There is no entrance examination for foreigners.

• M.Phil: Candidates having 55% marks, from this or any other university. 
• Ph.D: Master’s degree in relevant field, minimum marks as specified in programme. JRF/NET/University Ph.D entrance examination.

• Step 1: Be on Mysore University Official Website and navigate to admission portal 2026.  
• Step 2: Must have required entrance exam scorecard. If it is necessary for your course or department. 
• Step 3: Fill all details and pay Rs. 400 as application fee. Foreign nationals students will not have to sit in entrance. 
• Step 4: You can also opt for college if you wish to do so. You can also edit before submission, because once submission is done, you won’t be able to edit it.  
• Step 5: Once payment is done, take a printout of confirmation. 
• Step 6: You will get confirmation via notice of each department.
