Anna University offers a broad range of UG and PG courses in Engineering and technology, Architecture, Computer Science, etc, which are approved by NAAC A+ accreditation and AICTE. 

• Undergraduate Programmes- Applicants who want to take admission in Ug program such as Bachelor of Technology, bachelor of Engineering, and Bachelor of Architects can apply at Anna University. Duration of the Ug program is a minimum of 3 years which is divided into 6 semesters. Individuals who have successfully passed higher secondary education are eligible to pursue ug programmes at Anna University. 
• Postgraduates Programmes –  Students who have completed their bachelor degree can pursue postgraduates programmes at Anna University. PG programs offered in university such as the Master of Technology and Master of Science with specializations. It takes a minimum of two years to complete, split into four semesters.

Anna University Undergraduate Admission 2026-27

Anna University admission registration process will start soon for the January 2026 Academic session in the undergraduate program. Eligible students can register for undergraduate programmes when the admissions start. Individuals can apply through the Anna University official portal with the necessary details. The duration of UG courses is about 3 to 4 years, which has been divided into 6 to 8 semesters, which includes mandatory internship periods as well.

Anna University Postgraduate Admission 2026-27

Anna University admission process will start soon for the postgraduate program for the January Academic Session 2026-27. Students who have successfully passed their UG degree from any recognized university can register for a master’s degree with valid documents at Anna University. The admission procedure is based on merit and an entrance exam conducted by the university. 

Eligibility Criteria For Anna University Admission 

Eligibility criteria for Ug and Pg programmes based on merit of students. Some programs such as MTech and MSc have entrance exam 

• Undergraduate eligibility: Applicants must have intermediate certificate (12th) from any recognized board. Admission criteria are purely based on marks obtained in higher secondary examination. 
• Postgraduate eligibility: Candidates who have passed undergraduate programmes from any recognised university can apply for postgraduate programmes at this university. 
• Entrance Exam- Anna University conducts an entrance exam for MTech and MSc programmes. Applicants have to pass the exam with a minimum aggregate mark. A separate Entrance Examination for two hours will be conducted at Chennai only. Merit list will be made as per rank based on the marks obtained by the applicants in the Entrance Examination.

Anna University Programmes Fee Structure

Anna University offers a wide range of UG and PG programmes with a moderate and affordable fee structure. For reserved category students have concession in total program fee. Registration fee INR 800/- and Examination fee INR 1000/- which is included in total programs fee. Applicants can pay their program fee annually and one time through online payments methods.

• Step 4. After successful registration, applicants will get username and password via email or SMS sent from registered mobile number. 
• Step 5. Login with username and password on the official page. 
• Step 6. After successful login on the students portal fill the application form carefully with all scanned documents. 
• Step 7. Upload all required documents on application form carefully. 
• Step 8. After uploading the documents, the university will verify the documents. After verification, the payment link opens. 
• Step 9. Pay application fee and program fee with the help of payment links. 
• Step 10. Confirm your application process and download the acknowledgement slip and fee receipt provided by Anna University.
