About Central University of Himachal Pradesh

Central University of Himachal Pradesh is one of the reputed government universities in Himachal Pradesh. It was established on 15 August 2007. This university is recognised by the University Grant Commission and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council approved (UGC-NAAC A+). Programmes List For CUHP Admission

Those candidates who are interested in getting admission in UG, PG, Diploma, and Certificate courses can apply to the Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP). Students can enroll in programs with specializations in several courses. 

• UG Programmes- Individuals can enroll in undergraduate courses such as Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Hotel Management, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Social Work, and many more. It takes a minimum of 4 years to complete, and the program syllabus is based on the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS). Applicants can take admission after completing higher education (12th) or equivalent. 
• PG Programmes- University offers various Master’s degrees in Computer Application, Business Administration, Social Work and Hotel Management etc. Students can pursue after successful completion of bachelor degrees from any recognised university. Minimum duration of courses is 2 years, which is divided into four semesters according to CBCS curriculum. List of such programmes are MBA, MCA, MCom, MSc, MSW etc. 

CUHP Admission 2026 For Undergraduate Program

The CUHP admission process for the 2026 academic session will open soon for undergraduate courses. Before applying, it is mandatory to fulfill the eligibility criteria. Students who have successfully passed senior secondary examination (10+2) with 50% minimum aggregate score from any recognized board (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards). Other categories can get admission with 45% aggregate marks obtained in qualifying examinations. The admission procedure is typically based on the merit of candidates; no need to give any entrance exam for undergraduate courses. The medium of instruction is only in English. Apply through the official admission page with required documents and registration fee INR 600/- one one-time payable only.

CUHP Admission 2026 For Postgraduate Program

CUHP admission in the postgraduate program for the 2026 academic session can be applied for on the official page of the university. Minimum qualification required for PG courses is, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in the required streams (Science, Arts, Commerce) with 50% aggregate marks from any recognised University. Department of Admission provides 5% relaxation in the aggregate score for reserved category students. Admission procedure is fully online; applicants can enroll in the program at their own pace with the required documents and a processing fee of INR 800/-, which is non-refundable. 

CUHP Admission Fee Structure

Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) provides a broad range of programmes with an affordable and moderate fee structure for economically weaker candidates. Individuals can easily pursue affordable course fees as compared to other regular universities. Applicants can submit their fee per semester as well as yearly, as per their comfort. Concession in total tuition fee available for EWS/ST/SC candidates (15% concession. UG and PG programmes fee ranges between INR 5,500/- to INR 1,20,000/- per semester.

CUHP Admission Process 2026 

Admission process is online and based on valid documents and eligibility of candidates. Read admission 2026 prospectus carefully before applying online admission. 

Follow the given steps carefully- 

• Step 1. Visit the official website www.cuhimachal.ac.in/, if you are new user then click on New-Registration and fill registration form with required information Applicant Name, Mobile number, Email Id and Aadhar number. 
• Step 2. Create your login Id- Username and password. 
• Step 3. Login on the official admission page, fill application form, enter your personal, educational,contact details carefully. 
• Step 4. Upload scanned copy of required documents such as Marksheet, Photo, Signature, Aadhar card etc. Pay application fee and program fee using the secure online payment gateway (UPI, Debit card,Credit Card etc.). 
• Step 5. Recheck and review the information entered in application form carefully. Once verified, submit your application and confirm admission.
• Step 6. After submission you will receive a confirmation by mail. Download the application fee receipt and receipt of acknowledgement. 

Note* If eligibility criteria are not fulfilled and uploaded documents are not valid admission may be cancelled. Registration fee and Application fee is non-refundable.
