Balurghat College is a co-educational institute of higher education located in Balurghat, Dakshin Dinajpur District, West Bengal. It was established on 8 September 1948 as an intermediate liable college. In 1950 the college was recognized by UGC and supported by West Bengal College as an aided college. At present the college is affiliated with the university of Gour Banga from Academic year 2008 to 2009.  Mission of this college is to promote value based education, the transformation of society and to facilitate leadership among students.
