MDU DDE admission will begin soon for Open distance programmes for the academic session 2026. It offers multiple UG and PG programmes through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). Those who want to apply here should meet all eligibility requirements as stated in the University’s admission guidelines. They can apply through the official website by filling an application form. There will be mandatory fees of INR 500 for the application form. It is one time fee and non refundable. Programmes offered by CDOE are approved by the University Grant Commission (UGC). Its fees varies upon course and generally ranges between INR 20,000 to INR 50,000.

About MDU DDE

Maharshi Dayanand University, situated in Rohtak, was established in 1976. It is a Public University. It established a Correspondence cell and named it ‘Directorate of Distance Education (DDE)’ in 1988 for imparting education through distance mode. Later, it was renamed as CDOE- Centre for Online and Distance Learning. MDU aims to become a leading University and recognized worldwide for its excellence in teaching, research, and services. The university is approved by UGC. It is accredited with NAAC ‘A+’ grade. 

MDU DDE UG Admission 2026

MDU DDE admission process will begin soon for the UG Programme for the academic session 2026. Admissions will be merit-based. Those who are interested have to fulfill its eligibility criteria. UG Programmes are of 3 years. MDU offers programmes such as B.A with many disciplines and B.com.University provides self learning materials to its distance and Online learners.

All the programmes are based on carefully designed curriculum, well planned learning and teaching strategies, effective Student Support System to function fair examinations and evaluation. Students can apply via the official website after paying an application fee of INR 500. Reserved category students get a relaxation in the application fee.

MDU DDE PG Admission 2026

MDU DDE admission window has not opened yet for the PG programmes in July 2026. Admissions will be based on merit of the last qualifying examination. It is mandatory to fulfil the eligibility criteria before applying. PG programmes have a course duration of 2 years. MDU offers programmes such as M.A., M.Com, M.Sc (Mathematics), Master of Library and Information Sciences, etc. 

To help with studies, a self learning study kit is provided by the University. PG programmes’ curricula are carefully designed and are industry-aligned. Programmes have well-planned learning and teaching strategies. It also has an effective support system which conducts fair examinations and evaluations. Those who are interested can apply through the official website. They also have to pay an application fee of INR 500, mandatory and non-refundable. 

Eligibility Criteria For MDU DDE Admission 2026

Eligibility Criteria depend on the course level, and it is decided by the University after considering rules and regulations stated by the Government of India.

Eligibility for UG Programmes: All interested applicants must be 10th and 12th from a certified board. They need to have 50% minimum passing marks in their last qualifying examination. Reserved category applicants get 5% relaxation in their minimum marks.

Eligibility for PG Programmes: All interested candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a certified board of University. They must have 45% minimum secured marks or its equivalent in the last qualifying exam. Those who are from reserved category get 5% relaxation in minimum marks. 

MDU DDE Admission Fees Structure 2026

Maharshi Dayanand University offers a budget-friendly and low-cost fee structure which can be easily affordable to every student. They can pay fees via Online payment mode (Debit/credit card/UPI/Netbanking). Fees should be deposited through the Online Admission Portal of the University/CDOE. Students also have to pay an admission fee, application fee, and examination fee as applied. The application fee has to be paid at the time of registration and will not be refunded later.

MDU DDE Admission Procedure 2026

Those who want to study at MDU through distance mode of education can follow below written procedure to apply conveniently:

  • Step 1: Go to official website of University and click on ‘Centre for Distance and Online Learning’ and apply from there. Candidates can directly click here, www.ddemduadm.samarth.edu.in/.
  • Step 2: Now, fill registration form and choose your preferred programme.
  • Step 3: You will get an application form. Fill it will all correct personal details and academic qualifications. 
  • Step 4: Now upload documents which are required in scanned format. Documents should be uploaded in JPEG/Pdf. 
  • Step 5: Pay application fee and all other applicable fees. Submit your form and wait for further updates from University. Check your mail for confirmation of application submission.

MDU DDE Refund of Fees

Those who have applied at MDU will get refund of their fees under following circumstances:

  • In conditions where applicants submit an admission form but did not get selected and declared ‘Not Eligible’ for not fulfilling eligibility criteria.
  • In conditions, where applicants by mistake or unknowingly submitted more fees than prescribed.
  • In case of the demise of any candidate before the commencement of examinations, and has not appeared in any of them.

In all these conditions, fees will be refunded after deduction of 20% or as per University’s decision. If a university cancels admission for fake documents, in such cases no amount of fees will be refunded. 

MDU DDE Fee Concession and Scholarship 

Scholarships: There are various scholarships provided by the University to meritorious and needy students. Some of them are National Scholarships Portal, University Merit Scholarship, Haryana State Merit Scholarship, Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, State Merit Scholarship, LPS Scholarship, etc which are merit-based. The University Research Scholarship is for research students. There are other scholarships provided as well. These are Dr. Sarojini Devi Memorial Scholarship, Dr. P.P. Singh Memorial Scholarship, Ch.Badlu Ram Scholarship, Sh. K.C. Shastri Charitable Trust Scholarship, and many more.  State Merit Scholarship is provided to Undergraduate girls.

Fee Concession: 50% of fee concession in total fee (except other charges) will be admissible to Working Defence Personnel up to the level of JCO who are not getting any Scholarship and SC/ST of Haryana. 100% fee concession in Tuition/Student Support Service Fee will be admissible to MDU employees or their Ward/Spouse.
