VBU Admission 2026 | UG, PG, Fee Structure, Admission Process

VBU admission window will start soon for all programs for the academic year 2026. Students can apply to undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate and PhD programs offered by the university. Admissions are open in VBU campus and its affiliated colleges for various programs. Interested applicants can access an application form either offline or online on the university admission portal. University application fee ranges between INR 300 – INR 1000/-. Admission of the students will be merit-based or through CUET entrance extension. Applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria and other details on the university’s official website. Submission of the application form must be done before the deadline.

About VBU 

VBU stands for Vinoba Bhave University. It was established in 1992. It is teaching cum affiliating university, situated in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Vinoba Bhave University is affiliated with 70 colleges, imparting education at the undergraduate level in the field of education, law, ayurvedic medicine, and homeopathic. It also offers postgraduates across Earth Science, Social Science, Humanities, Commerce, Physical Science, Life Science, Medical Science and technology. VBU is accredited by NACC with an B++ grade, it is also funded by agencies of the government of India and Jharkhand state. Vinoba has university colleges/institutions and faculties are situated in the districts of Ramgarh, Chatra,Giridih, Hazaribag and Koderma.

Vinoba Bhave University Courses Offered 

Vinoba Bhave University offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses through constituent and affiliated colleges. 

• Traditional UG and PG courses in VBU campus and colleges include: at PG level it offers 11 specializations in master of Arts, M.Sc. in 6 specializations, and M.COM. 
• Vocational UG and PG courses at VBU campus and colleges are: under PG programs offered are MBA(regular/evening), MCA, M.Ed, M.Sc., M.LIS, MDS. undergraduate courses like BBA, BCA, B.Tech, BDS, BCS, BPT, BAMS, BHMS, BMLT, B.LIS., LLB, Bachelor of Fashion Design, BAJMC, Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics and BIOTECH. It also has integrated courses like BA.LL.B and Integrated B.Ed. 
• Program/courses offered in VBU campus: at PG level master of arts in 19 specializations, MCA, MBA, M.Phil and M.ED. at UG category it has BPT and I.B.Ed. PhD in 19 branches, diploma courses in 6 specializations and certificate programs in 6 programs. 

VBU UG Program Admission 2026

VBU admission process will start soon for all undergraduate programs for the admission year 2026. The university offers UG vocational courses such as Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Computer Application, Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery. Including Bachelor of Library and Information Science, Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Fashion Design,MBBS,  and BAJMC.

Programs are offered for the time period of 3 to 4 years and 6 to 8 semesters. Any students who have passed their senior secondary school or equivalent examination with a minimum passing mark of 50%(45% for reserved category) are eligible for admission. Students have to appear for the CUET UG entrance examination. Selection for B.Tech will be done through JEE MAIN/JCECE and for MBBS program valid score of NEET examination is required.

VBU PG Program Admission 2026

VBU admission process has not started yet for all postgraduate programs. Admissions are open in constituent and affiliated colleges of Vinoba Bhave University. Students can apply to PG programs such as master of arts, master of Science, master of Commerce, master of Computer Application, master of Business Administration and master of Education. These programs are available for a course length of 2 years and 4 semesters. 

Only those students who have a bachelor degree with a minimum 40% mark in related fields from any recognized university are eligible for admission. Also, students need to qualify the CUET PG entrance examination. For an MBA program a minimum of 50% mark and valid scores of CMAT/MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA is required and for M.Tech a valid GATE score is required.

VBU Admission Fees Structure 2026

University Four-year undergraduate program fee for boys applicants is INR 2360/- and for girls is INR 2160/-. Postgraduate program fee of boys with Practical is INR 2010/- and without Practical is INR 1510/-. PG girl fee with Practical is INR 1650/- and without Practical is INR 1150/-.

Read all instructions before filling up the application form. 

• Step 1: Click on REGISTRATION FOR NEW USER.
• Step 2: Enter email ID, phone number, user anime and password.
• Step 3: OTP will be sent in registered number and mail for verification.
• Step 4: Login with given credentials.
• Step 5: Upload scan signature and photograph. 
• Step 6: Fill in all important details like personal details, educational qualification, desired program.
• Step 7: Pay application fee. 
• Step 8: Appear for entrance examination if the chosen program requires. 
• Step 9: Selected students’ names will be posted online. 
• Step 10: Verify all the documents for final confirmation.
