Vidyasagar University admission process will start soon for the session 2026. The application form is accessible on the university website and there is no application fee charged by the university. Students can apply to postgraduate programmes, undergraduate programs, diploma, certificate courses, PhD, and research programmes. Admission will be based on merit and entrance examination. Vidyasagar University was established in 1981 as a state university. The university is located in Midnapore, Paschim Medinipur district, West Bengal, India. It has 27 postgraduate departments offering various programs in the field of science, commerce, social science, and humanities. The university is accredited by NAAC and approved by the University Grants Commission. The university has 59 affiliated colleges out of which 8 colleges are accredited by NAAC. Vidyasagar University offers Undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate, and research program through its campus and affiliated colleges. The university also offers programs through centers of distance and online education(CDOE).

Vidyasagar University PG Admission 2026

Vidyasagar University admission portal has not opened yet for the PG program for the session 2026. Students can opt for courses such as Master of Business Administration (MBA), M.Com, M.Sc. in 18 specializations, MA in 14 specializations, Master of Laws (LL.M.), M.Tech in Computer Science with AI, Master of Computer Application (MCA). including, Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.L.I. Sc) (1 year), Master of Library and Information Science (M.L.I.Sc) (1 year). Vidyasagar university offers a master degree program for the duration of 2 years and 4 semesters.

For admission to any PG program, students need to graduate with a bachelor degree in a relevant field. Applicants must have a minimum mark of 45% and 40% mark for SC/ST category. Selection for the MBA program will be based on JEMAT, MAT, CAT or university’s own test (VUMAT), group discussion and personal interview. For MCA program Valid JECA rank is required. 

Vidyasagar University Diploma And Certificate Courses Admission 2026

Vidyasagar University admission window has not opened yet for the diploma and certificate courses for the academic year 2026. The university offers diploma and certificate programs under the Centre for Continuing and Adult Education (CCAE). Students can fill an application form of INR 200/- for all programs. Admission will be based on merit and Reservation of seats as per the State Government Reservation Rules.

University offers certificate courses for the duration of 1 week to 6 months and PG/diploma courses for the period of 1 year. There are a total of 30 certificate courses, and 20 diploma courses offered in the university campus. Vidyasagar university charges around INR 500/- to INR 5000/- for certificate courses. For diploma courses course fee will range around INR 5000/- to INR 12000/. 

Vidyasagar University also offers certificate, diploma and PG diploma courses through its affiliated colleges.

• Step 2: Click on ONLINE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION. 
• Step 3: Click on CREATE NEW ACCOUNT and Enter name, mobile number and email ID and click on NEXT.
• Step 4: Log in with username and password. 
• Step 5: Click on the CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION button.
• Step 6: select program, degree, course, subject, department name, faculty name and admission session.
• Step 7: After this click on CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION link. 
• Step 8: Now fill up profile details, address, and click on NEXT. 
• Step 9: Select all qualification details, and upload signature, photograph, and relevant documents. 
• Step 10: Preview your form and click on NEXT.
• Step 11: Click on I AGREE and click on the SUBMIT button. 
• Step 12: Print out the submitted copy of the application form.
