About Saint Xaviers University 

St. Xavier University was founded in 2011, in Kolkata. It is a private, Jesuit institution. St xavier university offers 8 undergraduate degree programs, 10 postgraduate and and 8 doctoral programs. It is administered by St. Xavier’s College Kolkata Educational Trust. University is approved by AICTE, and accredited by NBA. It is also a  member of the association of indian universities and is approved by the bar council of india. It includes Xavier Business School which offers a MBA program and Xavier Law School which offers Master of Laws program. The university has adopted National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and State Education Policy (SEP) 2023.

Saint Xaviers University UG Admission 2026

Saint Xaviers University admission for the UG programs has not started yet for the session 2026. Applicants can register for programs such as bachelor of commerce (hons.), bachelor of management studies (hons.), bachelor of arts in english, economics, psychology, & mass communication, and bachelor of science (hons.) in statistics and data science. University provides 4 years honour degree courses with exit option after 3 years for major courses as per NEP 2020.

To be eligible for admission to any UG program, students need to pass a 10+2 examination in any subject or stream with a minimum 45% mark from a reputed educational board. University provides undergraduate programs for the courses length of 4 years and 8 semesters. Admission will be based on merit in the qualifying examination. St. Xavier Undergraduate program course fee per semester is around INR 64,600/-INR 87,000/-. 

Saint Xaviers University PG Admission 2026

Saint Xaviers University admission process will begin soon for the academic year 2026. Interested applicants can apply for master of arts programs in English, economics, psychology, mass communication, master of social work(MSW), master of science in statistics, and computer science, LLM and M.COM. St. Xavier University offers a master’s degree for 2 years and 4 semesters. Selection will be done on the basis of an admission test conducted by the university. Which is a total of 100 marks for all programs.

Only those students who have a bachelor degree in related discipline with a minimum 45% for general category and 40% mark for reserved category can apply for admission to st xavier university, kolkata. Selection for the MBA program will be through academic score, university admission test, performance in personal interview and work experience. For the LLM program a minimum 50% mark(45% for reserved) is required and Admission Test Marks (XLAT-PG).

Students have to pay an admission fee of INR 30,000 for all programs. University security deposit is INR 5000/- and alumni membership fee is INR 5.015.

Students are advised to read and follow the instruction given below at the time of application process. Ensure to read eligibility criteria and all information should be correct and valid. 

• Step 1: Students have to register using their email ID and mobile number. 
• Step 2: Verify your mobile number with an OTP.
• Step 3: Now login with the credentials. 
• Step 4: fill up the application form with all mandatory personal and educational qualification details. 
• Step 5: Pay application fee of INR 1000/-. 
• Step 6: Click on SAVE AND CONTINUE or SAVE AND DRAFT option.
• Step 7: Upload scan signature, photograph, and other documents in less than 2 MB in .png, .jpeg, or .jpg format.
• Step 8: Submit the form and keep the download or printout of application form and fee receipt. 
• Step 9: For PG admission, register and appear for the admission test. 
• Step 10: The university will publish a select  applicant list.
• Step 11: Pay program fee if selected.
• Step 12: Go to university for physical verification of the documents.
