Pantnagar University is officially known as Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. It was founded in the year 1960 in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India. Pantnagar University UG Admission 2026
Pantnagar University admission process will start soon for the academic year 2026. Students are invited to register for various programs offered by the university. Such as B.Tech with 9 specializations, B.Sc. Agriculture, B.F.Sc, B.Sc.Home Science, B.Sc. (Food Technology), and B. V. Sc & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry). Admission of the students will be strictly based on merit through marks obtained in entrance examinations conducted by the university. Undergraduate programs are offered for a duration of 4 years and 8 semesters. Except for B. V. Sc. & A.H program which is available for 5.5 years, including one year internship.

To be eligible for admission to undergraduate programs, students need to pass their 10+2 examination in any state with a minimum 65% – 55% mark for unreserved category and 45%-47% mark for reserved category. Selection for the B.Tech program will be through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) through the counseling carried out by Uttarakhand Technical University.
Pantnagar University PG Admission 2026
Pantnagar University admission registration process will begin soon for the academic year 2026. Applicants can apply online for postgraduate programs offered for a course length of 2 years and 4 semesters. The programs available are M.SC in agriculture and science, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, and master in Veterinary Science. To get admission in Patanagar University, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university/institute.

For the MBA program, students will require a bachelor degree from an AICTE/UGC approved institution with minimum 50% marks(45% for reserved category). There is a 5% mark relation for SC/ST category. Admission will be based on merit in the entrance examination conducted by the university. Selection for MBA/MBA (Agri-business) will be made through CAT/CMAT scores, group discussion, and personal interview. For M.Tech programs, a valid GATE score is preferred.

First step: registration process
- Register with your mobile number, email, username, select program, entrance eczema code and domicile, captcha code and other details.
Second step: login
- Enter your registration number received on mail ID.
- Enter the password and email ID and click on login.
Third step: fill application form
- Write and enter personal information, address, and educational qualifications.
- Upload a photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression on white paper.
- Submit the application fee.
- Pay the application fee via UPI/Debit/Credit Card/Internet Banking.
- Keep a print copy of the confirmation mail and online fee receipt for future reference.

Financial Assistance And Scholarship of Pantnagar University
The university offers many financial assistance and fellowship programs to students based on academic performance and program-wise. M.Tech students who have qualified for GATE will be provided with a GATE fellowship. The university gives an exemption in tuition fee to the children of university employees only.

Ph.D. Programmes: two university fellowships of INR 6000/- per month are awarded to students based on merit in each department. For Masters’ Programmes, upto 50% students will be awarded Graduate Research/Teaching Assistantship of INR 3000/- INR 2000/-per month. For undergraduate programs, the university offers University Merit Scholarship, Free Ship in Tuition fee (Staff ward & Unreserved Category), Sports Scholarship of INR 800 per month.
