Punjabi University, located in Patiala, was established under the Punjab Act in 1962. Dr S. Radhakrishnan, then President of India, laid the foundation of this University. Punjabi University Patiala UG Admissions 2026

Punjabi University Patiala admission will start soon for the Undergraduate Programme in July 2026. Admissions are based on both merit basis and entrance exam, depending on the nature of the course. It is compulsory to pay application fee if students want the University to proceed further with their applications. Undergraduate Programme is a 3-year degree programme for which students need to be 10th and 12th with a minimum 50% aggregate marks. Without fulfilling this eligibility, they can not apply for admission. UG programmes offered by Punjabi University are B. Punjabi University Patiala PG Admissions 2026

Punjabi University Patiala admission will start soon for the postgraduate programme for the academic session 2026. Admissions will be based on both merit and the entrance exam, depending on the course chosen by students. The application fee is a compulsory element of admission and is non-refundable. A postgraduate programme is higher-level education with a course duration of 3 years. Punjabi University has divided its PG programme into 4 semesters. Students who are fulfilling the eligibility criteria, which is, they should have a Bachelor’s degree, can apply for admission through Punjabi University’s official website. PG programmes offered by the University are M.Tech, MCA, M.A, M.Sc, M.Ed, MBA, M.P.Ed, and so on. Application fee for PG Programme: INR 1000.

Punjabi University Patiala PhD Admissions 2026

Punjabi University Patiala admission for the PhD will start soon for the July 2026 session. Besides common eligibility, admissions will be based on the Entrance Test conducted by Punjabi University, Patiala. The university will call shortlisted candidates for interview and also conduct a writing skill test. For final selection, a list of students will be made considering entrance test result, writing skill result and their interview performance. 

Students who have taken entrance test of UGC-NET/ UGC-CSIR-NET/ GATE/ GPAT, can directly apply for admissions. They are not required to apply for a university-based test. While filling the application form, it is necessary to pay non-refundable application fee of INR 2,000. Students from SC/ST have to pay INR 1,400 application fee.

• If cancels 15 days or more before the formally-notified last date of admission, students will get 100% fee refund after deducting 5% of the fee as an admission processing fee.
• If cancelled Less than 15 days before the formally-notified last date of admission, 90% of fee will be refunded to students.
• If cancels 15 days or less after the formally-notified last date of admission, students will be refunded 80% of their admission fee.
• If cancelled 30 days or less, but more than 15 days, after the formally-notified last date of admission: 50% of the admission fee to be refunded to students.
• If cancels more than 30 days after the formally-notified last date of admission, no fee refund will be made by the University.

Application Processing fee will not be refunded in any case as that is a non-refundable amount.
