Mahatma Gandhi University admissions will start soon for all UG and PG programmes under the 2026 session through regular mode of education. Admission to UG and PG programmes is through both merit-based and entrance exam-based criteria. For admission in Ph.D programmes, selection is based on examination merit, written aptitude test, and interview. Mahatma Gandhi University Admission 2026-27 For UG

Mahatma Gandhi University admission will start soon for various undergraduate programmes such as Bachelor of Arts (Hons), B.Sc (Hons), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Hons, Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management, etc. Admissions for UG programme is based on merits of candidates and managed through Central Allotment Process (CAP). For some UG courses, University conducts entrance tests. Candidates can only register online for admission process by filling out application form and paying required fee which is compulsory and non-refundable.

UG Courses have duration of 3 years minimum. MG University follows semester based structure and consists of 6 semesters. Seats will be reserved for Orphan children, Transgender students, Malayali students from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Visually & physically disabled students, Students who lost both their parents due to COVID, etc. There will be no reservation of Blind students in Bachelor of Science programme.

Eligibility Criteria: Students must be 10+2 passed from recognized board of education with minimum 50% marks or its equivalent in the relevant discipline. Reserved category students will get relaxation in marks.

Mahatma Gandhi University Admission 2026-27 For PG

Mahatma Gandhi University admission will start soon for the Postgraduate programmes for various programme such as M.A, M.Sc, MBA, Master of Law (LL.M), etc with multiple specializations. Admission process is completely online. MG University offers admission in some courses through merit basis and in some courses through separate entrance test CAT (Common Admission Test). CAT exams will be conducted in two shifts. Exam for MBA programme will be based on score obtained in CMAT/CAT/KMAT, Group discussion and Interview round.

Students should apply through official website of the University. PG Course are pursued after completing bachelor’s. It is of 2 years course length and consists of 4 semesters. Reservations of seats will be available for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Orphans/Transgender students. 

Eligibility Criteria: All candidates must hold an Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline with minimum 45% of aggregate marks (marks differs depending on the selection of course) from recognized University. Candidates belonging to reserved category, gets some relaxation in marks.

Mahatma Gandhi University Admission Fees 2026-27

Fees for programmes depend on MG University. The fee may change from time to time as per decision of the University. Selected candidates are required to submit payment of fee within given time period. Average fee of Ua niversity is INR 28,000 to INR 1.30 lacs. Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities allotted against merit seats or against the seat that are reserved for them, get complete concession their fees. To be eligible for fee concession, candidates are required to submit proof of documents.

• Step 1: Go to the official website of the University, www.mgu.ac.in/, and register yourself on their admission portal through your email address and phone number. 
• Step 2: Access the application form and start filling application form with all personal details, academic details, and choose your preferred course. 
• Step 3: Upload all necessary documents that is required and relevant. Documents should be uploaded in scanned format.
• Step 4: Pay the application fee as applicable and submit application form.

Mahatma Gandhi University Scholarship 2026-27

MG University has various fee-waiving schemes/scholarships for students. It does not have specific internal scholarships but it offers research fellowships and other scholarship programmes through its affiliated colleges. It provides exemption of fee to reserved category students and other category students as mentioned in the University Guidelines.Male students get 25% to 50% of fee waiver whose family income is less than 2.5 lacs.

Women get complete exemption from fees whose family income is below 2.5 lacs. Sports scholarship is also provided to students with some eligibility,  terms and conditions. Prof. P.C. Menon Endowment scholarships to students who is 1st rank holder in Master of Arts (History) hons will get complete fee exemption.
