Eligibility Criteria For NFSU Admission 2026
For admission in the UG courses, candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with a science stream, physics, chemistry, biology/maths from a recognised board. For BA criminology or behavioral science, arts and commerce students are eligible. Minimum aggregate required is 50 %, 45% for the reserved category students. For the PG courses students does require a bachelors degree or equivalent in relevant subjects from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks.

For example, MSc forensic science students requires BSc in chemistry/biology/forensics is required whereas MBA requires a bachelor’s degree plus an entrance examination test score such as CAT, MAT, CMAT. For admission in pHD courses master’s degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks, selection will be based on entrance test+interview which will be conducted by the university.
NFSU Admission Fee Structure 2026
Fee varies depending on the program and campus. NFSU admission registration fee for the course is INR 2000 for unreserved category students, and INR 1800 for the reserved category students. The approximate fee is calculated which is different for the different courses. For BSc forensic science and criminology students it is INR 35000 – INR 60000 per year, for the students of BTech cyber security, it is INR 120000 – INR 180000 per year. This fee is exclusive of all other charges levied on the student which is examination free and hostel fee which a student is required to pay separately. The exam fee circular is issued by the university before the start of every semester.

When talking about the PG courses fee for the MSc course is INR 40000 – INR 80000. For MBA courses tuition fee is about INR 150000 TO INR 200000 per year , for the LLM /MA/ MTech programs tuition fee is around INR 70000 – INR 120000 per year, for the PhD course fee is around INR 25000 to INR 40000 per semester (excluding research expenses). Hostel fee is around INR 25000 per year, including the mess charges.

- Step 1: Registration – visit the official website, click on the admission 2026 tab, register using a valid email id and mobile number,v and erify via OTP.
- Step 2: Fill up the application form – log in with the registered credentials, fill up the personal details, educational qualification details, course preference category details
- Step 3: Choose merit/entrance option – choose whether you are applying for merit-based courses or entrance exam-based courses.
- Step 4: Upload documents – upload all the necessary documents backing the claims you made.
- Step 5: Application fee payment – pay the fee online via debit/credit card, net banking, UPI. The fee is expected to be between INR 2000 to INR 1800 (for the reserved category students )
- Step 6: Admit card and entrance examination– for entrance-based courses such as MSc , MBA , M.Tech, PhD, download admit card , entrance exam are expected to be held in June-July 2026.
- Step 7: Counselling and interview – shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling, group discussion or personal interview(course specific). Some programs like MSW or psychology may include aptitude/skill tests
- Step 8: Final submission and verification – submit original documents during counselling, pay admission fees to confirm your seat.

There are four state government schemes by which students are provided financial aid, first one is Chief Minister Yuva Swalamban Yojana (MYSY) and Chief Minister’s Girls Education Fund, the second one is hon. Chief minister scholarship program, third one is the scheme of developing high-quality research, and fourth one is interest subsidy scheme on education loan.
