DU Admission 2026-27: Delhi University is one of the best universities among all the universities in India. Students have dreams of getting a seat in their respective courses and college. DU Admission 2026-27

DU admission process will start soon for the academic session 2026. University offers various UG and PG courses through the common entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). courses like BA, BCOM, MA, MCOM MSc are offered in various colleges. Du has two campuses and is north campus and the south campus.  

North campus has colleges like Hindu College, Hansraj College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, whereas south campus has colleges like Venkateshwar College, Staywati and Lady Shri Ram College. The duration of the UG courses are 3-4 years, whereas for PG courses it is 2-4 years. Fellowship programs are also on offer through the university.

DU Admission Eligibility Criteria For The UG Courses 

Common minimum eligibility for the Students for the admission session 2026 is that they must have passed class 10+2 from a single recognised board or equivalent, for the purpose of admission eligibility, the marksheet form only board will be considered. For example, if a candidate has appeared in cbse board examination with 5 subjects except mathematics but heb appeared and passes mathematics examination from other board and program, then the marksheet from CBSE will be considered only.

There are also program specific eligibility criteria , students must appear for the exam CUET-UG 2026 in those subjects in which they had appeared for in their class 10+2. Students who have fulfilled all the eligibility of this CUET, in that case marksheet from more than one board is also allowed . DU Admission Eligibility Criteria For The PG Courses 

For candidates belonging to the reserved category,the minimum eligibility is 50 % marks aggregate or equivalent grade in the qualifying examinations per the exam specific eligibility. For candidates, admission in the post graduate program of the Delhi university will be based on the common university entrance test.Candidates who  are looking to get admission in SOL can look up the website of DU SOL. Candidates who are appearing in the last semester of their qualification exam are eligible to apply.

DU Admission Fee Structure 

There is a different fee structure for the different courses but registration charges are the same for most courses.  There is registration fee of INR 250 for the unreserved category students and INR 100 for the reserved category students. Candidates applying for BFA/BSc(PE, HE and S)/BA(Hons)music will have to pay an additional fee of INR 400 which will be non-refundable. For applying to ECA and sports supernumerary quota, there is an additional fee of INR 100 for each quota.online application will be considered completed only after the successful payment of the fee.

DU Admission Application Process 2026-27

The common seat allocation system 2026 includes: phase 1, which applies to the University of Delhi, the second phase will be filling up the preference for programs and colleges, third phase will be allocation cum admission.

  • STEP 1: Students are required to register themselves on the official website using their active email address and phone number and create a unique individual portal.
  • STEP 2: Log in using your credentials which will be your username and password. 
  • STEP 3: Fill all the necessary details regarding your personal details and educational qualification and category details if there is any.
  • STEP 4: Choose the college and course in which you want and also be eligible.
  • STEP 5: Upload all the necessary documents backing your personal details,educational qualification and category claim.
  • STEP 6: Recess and check all the filled information whether it is correct or not. 
  • STEP 7: Click on the pay button and pay the registration charges.
  • STEP 8: Save all the details for any future reference.
