DR MGR Medical University Admission 2026: DR MGR Medical University admission for the session 2026-27 will start soon. The flagship course of the university in their BSc program, which costs only INR 60000, whereas the BAMS AND MBBS course fee is INR 270900.

It offers many other specialization courses. The duration of the BSc course is 3 years. Students are required to register within the guidelines timeline. A total of 10 courses are on offer in the MGR University, in which 6 courses are bachelor’s programs and 4 of them are master’s programs. Students are required to be 10+2 for BSC and selection will be merit-based. It also requires NEET-PG and NEET-UG qualifications for admission in their various courses.

Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University was established by an act of parliament in 1988. It is a state government university for health science. It is located in Tamil Nadu and it is the affiliating authority for all the medical colleges and health science colleges.

DR MGR Medical University admission for the academic session 2026 will start soon for all courses. Eligibility for the course BSc is 10+2, and admission will be the same, depending on merit. Admission for the other courses is also from merit or entrance. After successfully completing the admission form, students are required to appear on the entrance examination and later undergo counseling. After that student is required to pay the course fee, and then only an admission is deemed successful. The duration for the BSc course is 4 years, where 3 years are allocated for study and 1 year for the internship.

UG Eligibility Criteria For Dr MGR Medical University Admission

Students who have passed HSc or equivalent other than the Tamil Nadu state board should get the eligibility certificate,the details of which are mentioned in the university website. Every student who is willing to get admission in the university requires an eligibility certificate from the university which marks that someone has fulfilled the necessary requirements for admission.

PG Eligibility Criteria For Dr MGR Medical University Admission

Students who have passed the qualifying examination other than Dr. MGR Medical University are required to get the eligibility certificate from the university. In addition to that eligibility certificate need not be required for the candidates who have passed the MBBS from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, University of Madras, Bharharwar University, Bharatidasan University, and Madurai Kamraj University.

Dr. MGR Medical University Courses And Fees 

The university offers various courses under its department and the fee is different for different courses. BSc being their flagship course, has a tuition fee of INR 60000 to 5.3 lakhs purely depends upon the university as they have authority to revise their fee anytime of the year/session. It also offers MBBS courses whose fees are very reasonable, as it is only 27500 per year. There are other courses whose fee one can check on their official website. The duration of the courses are between 4 to 5 years.

The cost of application for the undergraduate degrees is INR 100, PG courses are INR 200, fellowship courses are INR 150, and post-doctoral courses are INR 500. Tuition fees will be revised from time to time as per the university norms.

Dr MGR Medical University admission process is fully offline-based. The registration process has not started for any postgraduate or undergraduate programs.

• The application form can be downloaded from the official website of the university, www.tnmgrmu.ac.in.
• Students are required to fill the form and should be sent to the university with all the necessary documents and self-addressed envelopes with sufficient stamps.
• Candidates should send all the documents in an A4 sheet with cloth lined cover. Name of the cover should be written at the top of the cover.
• Bonafide certificates will not be accepted during the last phase of the counseling.
• Candidates seeking admission to UG/PG courses, fellowship, and post-doctoral courses should submit the application with all the necessary documents to
