About LNIPE
Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) was founded in 1957. Situated in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, it is currently affiliated with Jiwaji University. LNIPE is a deemed university that is conferred the status of an autonomous college. It is a 153-acre residential campus, with another center located in Guwahati. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs. Including certificate, diploma programs and some programs in open and distance learning mode. LNIPE Undergraduate Admission 2026-27
LNIPE admission for the undergraduate program will start soon for the academic year 2026. Students can apply to Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) offered at undergraduate level. This program is runned for the duration of 4 years and 8 semesters. Any individuals who have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent from any recognized educational board is eligible for admission. Students must have scored a minimum 50% mark and 45% mark for SC/ST/other categories. Admission will be through CUET written test, Physical Fitness Test, Sports Skill Proficiency Test and direct admission.
The maximum age limit for this course is 21 years as on 1st July, 2026. There is 3 years age relaxation for OBC-NCL and 5 years for SC/ST applicants. Students will be given study centre choice either in LNIPE Gwalior with 200 intake and NERC-LNIPE, Guwahati with 100 intake.
LNIPE Postgraduate Admission 2026-27
LNIPE admission registration for the postgraduate program will begin soon for the academic year 2026. At postgraduate level, university offers Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.), M.Sc (Sports Sciences), M.A. (Sports Journalism), M.S.M. (Sports Management), and M.A. (Yoga). PG programs are available for the duration of 2 years and 4 semesters.
To be eligible for admission, Students have to graduate with at least 50% mark for GEN category and 45% for reserved category. Admission will be done through CUET, and Sports Skill Proficiency Test for M.P.Ed and online written test conducted by university for other programs. Any students who represented India in international championship will be granted direct admission.

LNIPE Diploma Course Admission 2026-27
LNIPE admission process for the diploma courses will start soon for theJanuary 2026 academic session. University offers diploma in Sports Coaching (DSC), Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching (PGDSC), PG Diploma in Fitness Management (PGDFM), PG Diploma in Strength & Sports Conditioning (PGDSSC), and PG Diploma in Yoga Education (PGDYEd.). All diploma and PG diploma courses are available for the duration of 1 year and 2 semesters. Students are required to score 50% in their respective admission test.
Selection to diploma courses will be on the basis of merit in physical fitness test and a sports skill proficiency test. Students have to pass a 10+2 examination conducted by CBSE/UT board/open board to be eligible for admission. For PG diploma admission, students need to graduate with a 45% mark and 40% for reserved category. Selection will be through a written test, physical fitness test, and proficiency in games and sports.

LNIPE Admission Process 2026-27
- Step 1: Register and appear for the CUET written examination through the NTA website.
- Step 2: Do online registration through the institute website for Physical Fitness and Skill Proficiency Test.
- Step 3: Merit list will be declared based on the scores obtained in written and proficient tests.
