CUET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency conducts the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for all eligible candidates who want to get admission in undergraduate programs in top universities. The Ministry of Education and the Government of India have established NTA, which provides more than 4000 test centers for this exam. Candidates who have cleared their senior secondary education (10+2) can appear for the test. Students must give this examination to get admission in private universities, deemed universities, and central universities.

Who can appear for CUET UG 2026? 

Candidates have successfully completed their class 10+2 from any recognised board (CBSE, ICSE, State board, etc) with minimum aggregate marks. There is no age limit for examinations. Students seeking admission in undergraduate courses in top universities have the best option to get admission through CUET examination. To appear in this examination you have to pass minimum qualification with 50% aggregate marks for general category students. The reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) has 5% relaxation in marks obtained in board examinations. 

Admit Card: CUET-UG 2026

Admit cards would be issued provisionally to students through National Testing Agency website. Applicants can download their admit card through the official website of NTA https://cuet.nta.nic.in and will appear in examination at the given center and date.

Note* No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination Centre without the required documents and on a date and shift/time other than that allotted to the Admit Card. Students are advised to protect their admit card in good condition for further processing. No Admit card will be issued to students whose applications are found to be invalid or incomplete for any reason. 

CUET UG 2026 Registration Process

Before filling the registration form and application form, applicants are advised to read prospectus carefully. Check eligibility criteria and apply for CUET (UG) examination. 

Step 1: Registration- Search for the official website https://cuet.nta.nic.in and register online with valid information and note the application number and password sent by Email and register mobile number. 

Step 2: Filling of application form- Login using Application Number and Password and fill the admission form carefully with detailed information such as Name, Father name, Resident etc. 

Step 3: Upload Documents- Candidates have to upload recent photographs in JPG/JPEG format. Photographs should be either in colour or black and white with 80% face visible including, ears against a white background. Size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb

Step 4: Fee Payment- Fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.

Step 5: Confirm- All 4 Steps can be done together or at separate timings. Submission of Application of a candidate could be considered as successful and candidature would be confirmed only on the successful transaction receipt of the prescribed application fee from. Download, save and print a copy of the Confirmation Page of Application Form.

CUET UG 2026: Exam Schedule 

Common University Entrance Test will be conducted by NTA twice in a year for undergraduate programmes. Duration of each paper would be 60 minutes.Individuals are advised to report at the Examination Center well in time (two hours) before the commencement of the examination. Students should take their seats immediately after opening of the Examination Hall. Bring original Admit Card before entering in examination hall.  

If any students do not report in time due to any reason (traffic, train/bus delay, etc,) they are likely to miss some of the important instructions to be announced in the Examination Rooms or Halls. NTA shall not be responsible for any delay. They should ensure that Question Paper available on the computer is as per subject indicated in the Admit Card. 

Bring these required documents before entering the examination hall- 

  • One passport-sized photograph

  • Simple transparent Ball Point Pen.

Question: Can a candidate apply to more than one Test Paper?

Answer- A candidate can apply for two (02) Test Papers by paying the application fee (details mentioned at point 18). Candidates can further apply for (02) additional Test Papers by paying additional application fees as applicable.

Question: How many papers can be selected for the examination?

Answer-  A maximum of four test paper codes can be selected for examination.

Answer- CBT (Computer-Based Test)
