Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is one of the reputed universities in India. It was established in the year of 1996 in the holy city of Varanasi. Banaras Hindu University Courses

• Undergraduate Programs: Applicants who have completed their senior secondary education with minimum aggregate marks and who qualify for the entrance exam can apply for undergraduate programmes. The broad range of programmes offered by BHU is Bachelor’s in Arts, Commerce, Science, Humanities, Computer Applications, Business Administration, and Dental Science with several specializations. It takes a minimum of three years to complete and a maximum of four years to complete. The duration of the UG program is divided into six semesters and is typically based on the CBCS curriculum. 
• Postgraduate Programs: BHU offers PG programs such as  MBA, MCA, MCom, MSc, MBlis, MSW, with several specializations in history, economics, business administration, finance analytics, English, and many more. The minimum duration of the program is two years, and the maximum duration is four years, which is divided into four semesters. Candidates have to complete their bachelor’s degree with 50 percent aggregate marks and qualify for the entrance test conducted by NTA. 

Banaras Hindu University UG Admission 2026-27

BHU admission procedure for undergraduate programmes starts soon for the January academic session. They can enroll in BSc, BBA, BCom, B.Arch programs, and many more. Applicants who have cleared their higher secondary education with a minimum aggregate marks can apply for the UG courses. Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Commerce, Science, and Arts stream and subjects, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Age not to be more than 22 years. The admission procedure is fully online and based on the entrance test.

Banaras Hindu University PG Admission 2026-27

BHU admission in postgraduate programs will start soon for the January Academic session. Candidates must ensure they meet the Minimum Eligibility Criteria before applying. Minimum qualification required for admission is needed to pass bachelors degree from any recognised university with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Students appearing for their qualifying degree examination or awaiting results are eligible to appear for CUETPG.

Note* Applicants must verify their eligibility for their chosen programs before appearing for CUET-PG. Admission will only be granted if all prescribed eligibility criteria are met.

Banaras Hindu University Average Fee Structure  

Banaras Hindu University offers an affordable and moderate fee structure for all eligible candidates. They provide flexibility in total program fee for students who belong to the reserved category. Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes fee range between INR 28,500/- to INR 60,200/- for the entire program. Admission fee and registration fee are included in the total course fee of UG and PG programs.

BHU admission will start soon. Read the prospectus carefully before filling out the application form. Visit the official portal and apply with valid documents. Admission procedures for undergraduate and postgraduate programs are mentioned below. 

• Step 1. Visit the official page of Banaras Hindu University and search for courses which you want to apply for. 
• Step 2. Click on ‘New Registration Link’ and fill the registration form with  detailed information(email id or mobile number) 
• Step 3. After successful registration, BHU will provide the login ID  via email or SMS on registered mobile number (username and password) 
• Step 4. Log in to the students portal with your login ID (keep your login Id safe)
• Step 5. After login on the students portal, fill the application form and upload valid qualification documents (aadhar card, marksheet, photo etc.). 
• Step 6. Upload all the “scanned documents” in application form carefully. 
• Step 7. Submit your application form. University will verify details and uploaded documents. 
• Step 8. After successful documents verification, students will be able to pay the application fee and program fee online (UPI, Debit card, Credit Card etc.) 
• Step 9. Confirm your admission and download program fee receipt and acknowledgement  receipt provided by the university.
